Phil. 4:6-8 - The Antidote To Your Fretting - Devotional Scripture

What is on your mind today?  Is there a fretful thought, fear or anxiety weighting you down? If so, Phil. 4 that thing!
First, talk to God about it. Communicate your thoughts and fears to the Lord and thank Him in advance for answering your prayer knowing that He is going to bring the right and perfect answer to you.

Then, stop the negative thinking. If it's a strong, powerful thought you may have to literally put your hand in the air and say "STOP!" Change what you’re dwelling on and think on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy.  If you can't think of anything the meets all of these conditions than think on Jesus because He is ALL of these things. Combat your negative thoughts with the truth of God's word, sing your favorite worship song or your favorite REFIT® song.

You CAN control your thought life.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things."
